Business Development Director Germany - Leading Logistics Customs Partner in Europe

Our customer is an European leading and neutral digital customs partner. Become a team member of a fast pacing company that stands for knowledge, customs compliance and efficient IT solutions.

We are looking for a driven Business Development Director Germany customer to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Grow key account sales and contribution by winning new clients and developing services for existing clients

  • Develop customer strategies using account planning and opportunity management approaches

  • Identify and research potential national and international key account clients

  • Establish and manage relationships with existing key account clients, prospective clients and grow your network

  • Coordinate multidisciplinair sales teams

  • Present to prospective clients and internal executives and lead client meetings/customer reviews

  • Write winning business proposals

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients and align with stakeholders

  • Support the implementation and onboarding of new clients

  • Monitor contract and SLA compliance and customer KPI reporting

  • Follow industry trends and competitive developments

  • Internal reporting on successes, target and KPI realization, pipeline and forecasting and areas needing improvements

  • Liaise with Delivery on onboarding customers, Operations on managing customers, Marketing on commercial actions

  • Participate in and lead sales improvement initiatives

Your Profile

  • You have a Master degree preferably in Logistics, Business or Marketing

  • You have >5 years working experience in business development or sales in a consultative selling role and a strong business acumen

  • You have a background in the logistics industry and knowledge of customs

  • Educational background in customs is a plus

  • You have experience in project-based working and with leading customer projects

  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written. An additional language is nice to have

  • You like working in a dynamic team with colleagues in various countries

  • You are customer-centric

  • You are a strong communicator (also at C-level) and good at stakeholder management

  • You have analytical skills and experience working with CRM

  • You have the ability to self-motivate, aim for outperforming results and have a winners mentality

  • You have good working proficiency with MS Office applications

  • You have an affinity with social selling

  • You are open to international travel
